GSA Activist Camp 2003SF Pride Parade 2002
Thank you to everyone who joined the GSA Network/LYRIC youth contingent in the San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade last Sunday. With around 200 youth marchers and one million spectators, Pride 2002 was a huge success! We carried signs representing every GSA in Northern and Central California, and we received some of the loudest cheers of any contingent in the parade. art for change in San Francisco and Sacramento, the first GSA Network art auctions fundraisers, were great successes! Many people attended both events and we sold over a hundred pieces of art work and other items. Performers and speakers included Senator Sheila Kuehl, Deep Dickollective, GSA Network Youth Council and Governing Board members Lauren Bruton and Tyx Pulskamp-Lockhart, and Entourage from the Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus.
